Position Description:
This is a once-in-a-lifetime position with salary, overrides, and benefits. We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned executive with strong sales and author support experience. NCP employs a vast network of affiliates that refer business to the company. As well, NCP utilizes “out-of-the-box” strategies within its business development group to bring new authors to the company. We seek a professional with a proven track record in quickly assessing the needs of the author, reviewing the manuscripts, and preparing production and marketing contracts. The executive will work as a liaison with the author from initial contact to post book launch. The executive will not have to worry about creating leads. We are looking for a highly organized individual, skilled at articulating vision and setting direction, who has strong sales and author support skills. The executive will work at our Las Vegas headquarters. He/she will create and coordinate our entire inbound lead process and author retention system.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Create and coordinate a process for receiving a highly qualified author lead, assessing the leads needs, and bringing the lead to contract.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop new promotions.
  • Grow and manage author support.

Position Description:
Supports company operations by maintaining office systems, assisting finance department with data entry into Quickbooks and invoicing, and assisting marketing department with author assistance. Assisting, where required, in a startup environment.
Job Duties:
  • Maintain office services by organizing office operations and procedures.
  • Assist in preparing payroll, controlling correspondence, designing filing systems, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
  • Provide historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
  • Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts and equipment procurement.
  • Design and implement office policies by establishing standards and procedures measuring results against standards, and making necessary adjustments.
  • Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees following up on work results.
  • Keep management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports, summarizing information, and identifying trends.
  • Assist legal department with contract creation.
  • Create and maintain all company records and files.
  • Coordinate office correspondence.
  • Assist marketing department with preparation of mailings and follow-up.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The graphic designer will create a variety of branded innovative and awareness media for Next Century Publishing.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
MAJOR JOB DUTIES: Duties include. but are not limited to the following:
  • Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
  • Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type.
  • Use computer software to generate new images.
  • Mark up, paste, and assemble final layouts to prepare layouts for printer.
  • Draw and print charts, graphs, illustrations, and other artwork, using computer.
  • Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed.
  • Ensure all jobs are completed in a high-quality, cost-effective, and timely manner.
  • Manipulate graphics to specifications.
  • Produce collateral materials, as directed by marketing and other departments.
  • Brainstorm and create mock up design ideas.
  • Present ideas to managers.
  • Review layouts with managers and-/or vendors for critique, changes, and edits to accommodate budget or production requirements.
  • Prioritize workload based on current needs and relevant timelines
  • Use computer software to execute designs.

EXPERIENCE:
Experience in graphic design for marketing and advertising preferred. Must possess excellent communication and project management skills and be computer-literate, with proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, and HTML software. Must present a copy of portfolio and original work at interview. Three years of HTML coding experience (e-mail preferred). Three years of graphic design experience (logos, flyers, brochures, and icons).
  • Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in fine arts, graphic design, brand management, or experience design.
  • 2+ years experience.
  • Prior experience with print collateral, brochures, sell sheets, tri-folds, web banners, direct mail, e-mail graphics.
  • Excellent print production and pre-press skills.
  • Master of Adobe Creative Suite 6 with a focus on print applications (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).
  • Web/digital application knowledge and WordPress templating a must.
